As I sat here editing this video, I said, "I wish it would've snowed so I could've added some 'snowy' clips to this video," and right after I said that, I looked out the window and it was puking snow. So I grabbed my camera and ran out to get a couple of snow clips to add! Perfect timing, I'd say. I hope you like this video, m'friends. That is to say, when a non-magical person looks at the spot where her house sits, they see but a wide open field skirted by a barbed wire fence. Bathilda has lived in this home for some 150 years, but she rarely leaves for fear of revealing her kind to the world, or, worse, losing control of her magic and causing harm to an innocent soul. Still, she has a tight-knit circle of witch friends, all of whom are great companions. They often meet up at various glamored witch cafés to have a cackle over goblets of Pumpkin Brew, or compete in a few rounds of witch bowling—which can get a little . . . explosive, to say the least. Tonight, Bathilda is creating magical charms to be worn on necklaces and bracelets, all of which she will leave in random places for non-magical people to find. Various potions are embedded into the charms: love potion, luck potion, eternal happiness potion and more. Bathilda, though sometimes cantankerous, has her heart in the right place. Though her magic can be used for evil, power and gain, she prefers to use it to make the world a better place. And for that, Ms. Baudour is everybody's favorite witch. Buckle up! We're headed to a cozy #1950s diner after a hot summer's day in this #ambience ASMR! 🍨In this week's video you're on a long road trip with a few of your favorite people. It was one of the hottest days in recorded history, so you're utterly ecstatic when the sun finally gives way to the moon. You welcome the cool night air by rolling down your window and letting the wind collide with your face, stealing your breath. Your favorite song streams through the speakers, and your friends are telling stories that start with, "Remember that time when . . . ," all of which end in fits of laughter, and maybe a little embarrassment. The star-strewn sky glitters above you, and the shadowy trees whip by in a hypnotic blur. You're astounded that a moment so unadorned, so simple, can make you feel this alive. After miles and miles of darkness, you see a bright pink glow in the distance. A roadside diner, its neon lights proudly beaming, "OPEN 24/7." You all pile out of the car and stretch your limbs before heading into the cozy-looking joint. Inside are fellow roadtrippers, all of whom seem to have that same happy glow, that same summer-night high, that you do. You order a round of shakes then claim a worn, dilapidated booth in the back. You rest your head against the cool, albeit greasy, window, unable to recall a time when you've felt this calm. This content. 'This is it,' you think as you pull a sip from your ridiculously thick milkshake. 'This is where happiness is found: in the seemingly insignificant moments where nothing seems to be really happening, and yet everything somehow feels entirely whole.' Happiness is wherever you can fully be yourself, the moments never marred by judgement or soured by absurd expectations. Happiness is driving 100 miles per hour on an open road and feeling completely exhilarated. But it's also sitting slumped, burnt, and tired in a dingy diner with brain-freeze and feeling like you're still going 100 miles per hour. Plus she's so kind. Please check her out! 🌷This week's video is not so much for sleeping, rather it's for getting you in a lighter mood and reenergizing you. I put this on my TV as I did chores, answered work emails, etc. It's great for that, as there are sounds in this particular video that might disrupt sleep for some (birds, a bell, and light background laughter). ASMR sounds featured in this video: spray bottle, scissor sounds, trickling water, tea pouring, pages turning, touching a glossy magazine, writing and more! For this ambience video, I wanted something more whimsical and set in the springtime to get everyone excited for longer days, the return of flowers, singing birds and melting streams. I'm also currently writing a historical fiction and wanted something that put me in that time. This artwork by Shocking was perfect because it captures all those things. We're spending some time in a cozy (albeit haunted?) attic this week, my friends. I hope you enjoy the soothing sounds of rain tapping against the window, soft footsteps and the odd creaking sound. I don't know if it's discernible, but I also added the sound of Christmas lights being unraveled. I picture this attic haunted by a friendly, albeit lonely, ghost named Chester who sits in the rocking chair and listens to the family downstairs, wishing he could somehow join them. That he could be a part of the family too. Chester is fiercely protective of the people downstairs, though, and quickly loses his friendly demeanor when he senses any sort of threat looming over them. Last summer, for instance, a man tried to break into the family's home, so Chester began to throw things around the attic, hoping to make enough noise to alert the family. The racket did not wake them, though, and the intruder managed to slip in through a window. Ghosts aren't supposed to get involved in human affairs, but Chester had no choice. He would not harm the human, but he would scare him enough that he'd never so much as entertain the thought of returning to his home again. First, he started flickering the lights (classic, if not overused, ghost move), which startled the intruder, but did not deter him. Growing angrier by the moment, Chester swooped up really close to the man, letting his cold energy wash over him, and whispered, 'Leave!' Though a chill swept down the intruder's back, it still wasn't enough to scare him off. Fuming, Chester decided to have a little fun with the kitchen knives. One by one, he flung them at the wall nearest the man, careful not to actually hit him. This caused the intruder to spit a flurry of obscenities before dropping to the ground, crawling across the floor, and leaping back out the window from whence he came. With a satisfied smile, Chester yanked the knives from the wall and slid them back into the knife block atop the kitchen counter. He wondered what the family, his family, would think of the knife marks in the wall once they spotted them. Before returning to his attic, he wandered into each family member's bedroom to make sure they were all right. A woman stirred in her bed as he watched her. Restless. She was always restless, he acknowledged. The woman shivered and pulled her blanket up to her nose, and Chester knew she could feel him there. "Is that you, Dad?" the woman whispered into the darkness, her heart abloom with hope.
